The Best Beef Tallow Moisturiser We Know How to Make

The Best Beef Tallow Moisturiser We Know How to Make

And We’re Sharing the Formula

This moisturiser was created to show what’s possible when cosmetic-grade beef tallow is treated as a modern skincare ingredient rather than a novelty or a balm-only solution.

We believe this is one of the best beef tallow moisturisers available today.
It is refined, low-odour, cholesterol-rich, and formulated as a true cream using contemporary cosmetic techniques and high-performance natural actives.

In the spirit of transparency, we are sharing the full formula and step-by-step method so you can make this moisturiser yourself if you wish.

Why This Beef Tallow Cream Exists

Tallow has been used on skin for centuries and is now experiencing a strong resurgence.
As beef tallow balms become increasingly popular, formulators are beginning to explore how versatile tallow can be when refined to cosmetic grade and used in more sophisticated formats.

Beef tallow is uniquely suited to skincare because it naturally contains cholesterol and skin-compatible fatty acids that closely resemble the lipid structure of healthy human skin. This makes it particularly effective for supporting the skin barrier and reducing moisture loss.

However, unlocking this potential requires more than simply melting fat into a jar.

This cream represents the next generation of tallow skincare:
a stable oil-in-water emulsion that feels familiar to the skin, absorbs cleanly, and performs like a modern premium moisturiser.

Open Formula with Premium Execution

We believe that great formulation should be transparent.

Equipment Required

Heat-safe beakers or jugs
Precision digital scales
Stick blender or overhead mixer
Thermometer
Silicone spatula
Sanitised jars and lids
Isopropyl alcohol for sanitation

Step-by-Step Method

1. Sanitation

Thoroughly clean, rinse, and dry all equipment.
Sanitise with isopropyl alcohol and allow everything to air-dry completely.

2. Prepare the Water Phase

  1. Weigh the glycerin into your water-phase vessel.
  2. Add the sodium hyaluronate and xanthan gum directly into the glycerin.
  3. Mix thoroughly until fully dispersed and smooth.
  4. Add the purified water and mix well.
  5. Heat Phase A to approximately 70°C and hold.

Dispersing powders into glycerin first prevents clumping and ensures a smooth final cream.

3. Prepare the Oil Phase

  1. Combine all Phase B ingredients in a separate vessel.
  2. Heat to approximately 70°C until fully melted and uniform.
  3. Ensure the Coenzyme Q10 is fully dissolved.

4. Emulsification

  1. When both phases are at the same temperature, slowly pour the oil phase into the water phase while mixing.
  2. Blend using short bursts until a smooth emulsion forms.
  3. Continue gentle stirring as the mixture thickens.

5. Cool-Down Additions

Once the emulsion has cooled below 40°C, add Phase C ingredients one at a time, mixing gently between each addition.

6. Fill and Set

Pour into sanitised jars while still fluid.
Allow the cream to set for 24 hours to reach its final texture.
Store away from heat and direct sunlight.
